Iodinate 200 µg tablets are used to prevent iodine deficiency and associated conditions such as goitre (goiter). They are also used to treat goitre in patients with normal thyroid function. The tablets contain the active ingredient potassium iodide. Iodinate® is important for the formation of thyroid hormones and for normal thyroid function. If the iodine supply is insufficient, a deficiency of thyroid hormones and the development of a goitre can occur. Iodinate® can compensate for this deficiency. The dosage depends on the individual iodine supply and the respective treatment goal. It is taken after a meal with liquid. The duration of use varies depending on the reason for the intake. Iodinate® is intended for ingestion and should be kept out of the reach of children. Before use, possible contraindications and interactions with other medicines should be considered.
