Area of application

This medicine is used for respiratory tract colds.It is used externally to improve the condition of uncomplicated colds, hoarseness and bronchial catarrh.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The cream contains 50 mg camphor, 150 mg eucalyptus oil and 25 mg levomenthol.The following excipients are also included: (RS)-2-octyldodecan-1-ol, PEG castor oil (hydrogenated), poloxamer 407 and purified water.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to any of the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients.It is not suitable for infants and young children under 2 years of age as camphor and menthol can cause laryngeal spasm.It should also not be used for bronchial asthma, whooping cough, pseudocroup and other respiratory diseases with hypersensitivity of the airways.In addition, it must not be used for acute inflammation of the respiratory tract, acute pneumonia, skin and childhood diseases with rashes or on damaged skin.

Dosage

Always use the medicine exactly as directed.If you are unsure, please ask your doctor or pharmacist.For external use, the chest and back are rubbed with a 1 - 4 cm long strand of ointment in the morning and evening and then covered with a cloth.Additionally, an inhalation treatment can be carried out up to 2 - 3 times a day: add 5 - 10 cm of cream to 1 - 2 l of hot water and inhale the vapors under a cloth for several minutes.Be sure to close or cover your eyes to avoid irritation of the conjunctiva.Children should not inhale unsupervised as there is a risk of scalding.

If symptoms last longer than 3 - 5 days, shortness of breath, headache, fever or purulent/bloody sputum or nasal secretion, you should consult a doctor.

If you have used a larger amount than you should, no overdose symptoms are to be expected when used as intended for external use or inhalation.If accidentally ingested, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea may occur.Even with external use and overdose, symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, feeling of heat, weakness, dry mouth, diarrhea and fever are possible in rare cases.When applied externally to large areas, symptoms of poisoning such as kidney damage and damage to the central nervous system can occur.

If you have used too little or forgotten an application, do not use a double dose next time, but continue using it as prescribed by your doctor or as described here.

Intake
