Gargle solution-ratiopharm is an oral and throat therapy used for the supportive treatment of bacterial inflammation of the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat. The gargle solution contains the active substance dequalinium chloride in a concentration of 0.01%. It is used by gargling or rinsing the oral cavity with 1 tablespoon of Gargle Solution-ratiopharm for 15-30 seconds in the morning and evening after meals. Children from 2 years and adults should not exceed the recommended dosage of 15 ml 2 times a day. The duration of use should not exceed 3 days unless a doctor recommends longer use. Possible side effects are skin allergies, mucous membrane irritation, itching and delay in wound healing. The medicinal product must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the active substance or other ingredients, or in infants and young children under 2 years of age. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use. The gargle solution also contains propylene glycol, macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate and cinnamon (cinnamaldehyde), which may cause skin irritation.
