Silkafix is a white adhesive plaster that can be torn lengthwise and crosswise and can be used to fix compresses, bandages, venous catheters, cannulae, drainage tubes or probes. The adhesive plaster is not stretchable and is made of artificial silk taffeta with a skin-friendly polyacrylate adhesive. It is water and dirt repellent and adheres well to the skin, but can be removed with little residue. The plaster has a width of 2.5 cm and is wound on a 9.2 m cardboard core.
