Instructions for use of the article Hoffmannstropfen: Hoffmannstropfen is a traditional medicinal product used to improve the condition in attacks of weakness. The oral liquid contains ether and ethanol 96%. It is recommended to take 15-30 drops 1-3 times a day. The duration of use should be as short as possible and only last a few days. Hoffmannstropfen must not be used in cases of stomach and intestinal ulcers, obstruction of the bile duct, inflammation of the gall bladder and severe liver disease. Pregnant women, nursing mothers, children under 12 years of age and people with liver disease or alcohol problems should avoid the medicine. There are no known side effects. The medicine contains alcohol and may influence the effect of other medicines. It should therefore be used with care.
