Instructions for use for LEDERFOLAT Tablets, 100 pc
Directions for use of the article Lederfolat Tabletten: Lederfolate Tablets contain the active ingredient calcium folinate, which is used to reduce or counteract the toxicity and effects of folic acid antagonists such as methotrexate during chemotherapy. This process is called "calcium folinate rescue". In addition, leather folate is used to treat folic acid deficiencies in adults and children that cannot be corrected by dietary measures. It is important to note that lederfolate should not be taken if there is hypersensitivity to calcium folinate or other ingredients. It should also not be used in cases of dangerous anaemia or vitamin B12 deficiency. Special care should be taken when using lederfolate. It should only be used under the supervision of a doctor experienced in the use of chemotherapeutic agents. There is a risk of an increase in the frequency of seizures in epileptics taking certain medications. Clinical monitoring should be performed during and after treatment. Children should not use lederfolate in combination with methotrexate as there is insufficient research on this. It is important to inform the doctor or pharmacist about the simultaneous use of other medicines, as interactions may occur. Pregnant and breastfeeding women are advised to consult their doctor before using leather folate. During pregnancy, intensive counselling about the risks of methotrexate treatment should be given. The dosage and duration of use of lederfolate depends on various factors and should therefore be determined individually by the attending physician. Lederfolate tablets should only be taken on the instructions of the doctor. Side effects may occur, including insomnia, restlessness, depression, gastrointestinal disorders and allergic reactions. If side effects occur, a doctor should be consulted. Lederfolat should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging. This summary gives a brief overview of the most important information about Lederfolat Tablets. It does not replace the full instructions for use, so you should read the full package leaflet before use and consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.Medicines Reviews
