Directions for use of the article Lederfolat Tabletten Lederfolat tablets contain the active ingredient calcium folinate 5 H2O and are used to reduce or counteract the toxicity and effects of folic acid antagonists such as methotrexate during chemotherapy or overdose in adults. Leather folate is also used for folic acid deficiencies that cannot be corrected by dietary measures. The dosage and duration of use depend on the type and dosage of methotrexate treatment. Lederfolat tablets are for oral use. They should not be used in gastrointestinal disorders, but an injection solution should be used instead. Vitamin B12 deficiency should be ruled out before use. During the use of lederfolate, certain interactions with other medications should be noted. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use. The medicine should be kept away from moisture and out of the reach of children. Side effects such as insomnia, gastrointestinal disturbances and increased frequency of seizures may occur. If side effects occur, a doctor should be consulted. The medicinal product must not be used after the expiry date.
