Calcet 475 mg Film-Coated Tablets contain the active ingredient calcium acetate and are used to treat increased phosphate levels in the blood in chronic renal impairment. The tablets bind phosphate from food and allow it to be excreted in the stool. Before use, certain contraindications must be taken into account, such as an allergy to calcium acetate, reduced phosphate levels in the blood or increased calcium levels in the blood. Taking Calcet 475 mg may cause side effects such as soft tissue calcification, increased calcium levels in the blood or gastrointestinal complaints.
