Calcium D3 STADA is a combination of the mineral calcium and vitamin D3.This preparation is used to support the treatment of osteoporosis.The chewable tablets contain the active ingredients calcium carbonate and colecalciferol.No prescription is required for this product.

Calcium D3 STADA is used to support the treatment of osteoporosis.The combination of calcium and vitamin D3 promotes the absorption of calcium in the intestine and supports the mineralization of the bones.
Active ingredients and ingredients
The active ingredients in Calcium D3 STADA are calcium carbonate and colecalciferol.One chewable tablet contains 1500.3 mg calcium carbonate, which corresponds to 600 mg calcium ions, and 4 mg colecalciferol dry concentrate, which corresponds to 400 IU vitamin D3.
The other ingredients are gelatin, magnesium stearate, corn starch, saccharin sodium 2H2O, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, sucrose, alpha-tocopherol, xylitol and tutti frutti flavor.
Dosage and application
The recommended dosage is one chewable tablet twice daily, preferably with meals.The duration of use is determined by the doctor.
The chewable tablets should be chewed or sucked well.It is important not to exceed the recommended dosage without consulting a doctor.
Contraindications
Calcium D3 STADA must not be used in cases of increased calcium concentration in the blood, increased calcium excretion in the urine, kidney limestones, calcium deposits in the kidneys, impaired kidney function, parathyroid diseases, vitamin D overdose, myeloma, bone metastases, immobilization of the body for treatment purposes and sarcoidosis.The medicine is not suitable for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the medicine should only be taken after consulting a doctor.
Side effects
Possible side effects include increased calcium levels, increased calcium excretion in urine, constipation, flatulence, abdominal pain, nausea, hives, itching, skin rash and shifting the acid-base balance in the blood to the alkaline side.
If side effects or discomfort occur, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted.
Storage
The medicine should be protected from heat and kept out of the reach of children.It must not be stored above +25 °C.The expiry date on the pack should be noted.
Additional notes
If used for a long time, the calcium level in the blood and kidney function should be checked regularly by a doctor.Caution is advised if you are allergic to saccharin, sucrose, peanuts and soy.
