Directions for use of fennel tea: Fennel tea is used for digestive complaints such as mild, cramping gastrointestinal complaints, bloating and flatulence as well as catarrh of the upper respiratory tract. The tea is made from bitter fennel and should be prepared with boiling water. The recommended dosage is 1 cup of the tea infusion 2-3 times a day. For infants and young children, the tea can be used as a diluent. Fennel tea should not be used for more than 1 week unless recommended by a doctor. Possible side effects are allergic reactions of the skin and respiratory tract. People with hypersensitivity to fennel should not use the tea.
