Yarrow is a herbal medicinal product for internal use in digestive disorders and to stimulate appetite, and for external use as a bath additive. Internal use for loss of appetite; digestive disorders such as mild, cramp-like complaints in the gastrointestinal tract. Sitz baths for painful cramps of psychovegetative origin in the female pelvis (pelvipathia vegetativa). Note: If symptoms persist for more than 1 week or recur periodically, a doctor should be consulted.
WAS MÜSSEN SIE VOR DER ANWENDUNG DIESES ARZNEIMITTELS NOTE. This medicinal product must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to yarrow and other compositae, e.g. arnica, camomile, marigolds. Particular caution is required when using this medicinal product if the symptoms described in chapter 1 occur more frequently. In this case, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Children: No adequate studies are available on the use of yarrow in children under 12 years of age. Preparations of yarrow herb should therefore not be used by this group of people. When using this medicinal product with other medicinal products: Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using or have recently used any other medicinal products, including medicinal products obtained without a prescription. There are no known interactions. Pregnancy and breast-feeding: No adequate studies are available on the use of yarrow during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Preparations made from yarrow herb should therefore not be used by this group of people. Ability to drive and operate machinery: No experience is available with regard to impairment of the ability to drive and operate machinery.
WIE IST DIESES ARZNEIMITTEL HOW TO USE? Always use yarrow exactly as directed in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure. Dosage and method of use: Unless otherwise prescribed, 1 cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows is drunk 3 times a day half an hour before meals to stimulate the appetite, or after meals in the case of digestive complaints: 1 teaspoonful (approx. 1.5 g) of yarrow herb is poured over boiling water (approx. 150 ml) and passed through a tea strainer after about 10 to 15 minutes. For sitz baths, use 100 g yarrow herb to 20 l of water. With the present pack size, this corresponds to: 70 g yarrow herb to 14 l water. Duration of use: If symptoms last longer than 1 week or recur periodically, a doctor should be consulted. Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of yarrow is too strong or too weak. If you have used a larger quantity of the medicinal product than you should and you develop symptoms due to the higher dose, please inform your doctor. He or she can decide on any necessary measures. The side effects listed under Side effects may occur more frequently.
WELCHE NEBENWIRKUNGEN SIND POSSIBLE? Like all medicines, yarrow can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Hypersensitivity reactions of the skin may occur. The frequency is not known. If you notice any disturbance or change in your condition during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
WAS SOLLTEN SIE NOTE? Caution in case of allergy to ascorbic acid (vitamin C)! Caution in case of allergy to composite plants (Latin name = composites), e.g. arnica, marigold, yarrow, coneflower and camomile! Caution in case of allergy to spices, essential oils and turpentine oil!
