Directions for use of the product "Espumisan Gold Perlen gegen Blähungen": Espumisan Gold Perlen is a medicinal product used as a defoamer. It is used for the symptomatic treatment of gas-related gastrointestinal complaints such as flatulence, bloating and in functional dyspepsia. It can also be used in preparation for diagnostic abdominal examinations such as endoscopy, X-ray and sonography. One soft capsule of Espumisan Gold Pearls contains 140 mg of simeticon. The capsules also contain gelatine, glycerol, quinoline yellow (E104) and iron oxide red (E172). Espumisan Gold Pearls are available in packs of 20 and 40 soft capsules. There is some information that should be considered before taking Espumisan Gold Pearls. For example, the capsules should not be taken if you are hypersensitive to simeticon or any of the other ingredients. Other dosage forms should be used for children under 14 years of age and infants. Overall, there are no known side effects associated with the use of Espumisan Gold Pearls. The dosage depends on the nature of the complaints. For adults and adolescents over 14 years of age, a single dose of 1-2 soft capsules is recommended, the total daily dose is 3-6 soft capsules. For the preparation of imaging examinations, adults and children 6 years and older should take 2-3 soft capsules the day before the examination and 1 soft capsule the morning of the examination. The capsules are swallowed whole and can be taken with or after meals. Espumisan Gold Pearls are suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women, and they are sugar-free.
