Product properties: - Espumisan Gold Pearls are a medical device used for the symptomatic treatment of gas-related gastrointestinal complaints such as flatulence, bloating and functional dyspepsia. - They are also used in preparation for diagnostic abdominal examinations such as endoscopy, X-ray and sonography. - Each soft capsule contains 140 mg of simeticon as the active ingredient. - Espumisan Gold Pearls are available in packs of 20 and 40 soft capsules. Intake and dosage: - Adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over should take 1-2 soft capsules of Espumisan Gold Pearls with meals, corresponding to 140-280 mg of simeticon. - The total daily dose for adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over is 3-6 soft capsules, corresponding to 420-840 mg simeticon. - Other dosage forms are available for children under 14 years of age and infants. - Espumisan Gold Pearls can be swallowed whole and can also be taken with some liquid. - The duration of use depends on the course of the symptoms. - A special dosage may be recommended in preparation for imaging examinations. Contraindications and precautions: - Espumisan Gold Pearls should not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to simeticon or any of the other ingredients. - There are no concerns about use during pregnancy and lactation, and no side effects have been observed to date. Storage and shelf life: - Espumisan Gold Pearls should be kept out of the reach of children. - They should not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging. Additional information: - Flatulence can be caused by a number of things including swallowing air, being hectic and stressed, poor diet and lack of exercise. - Espumisan Gold Pearls contain the active ingredient simeticon, which dissolves the tough foam bubbles in the intestines and thus acts against flatulence. - In the case of severe, prolonged or recurring symptoms, a visit to the doctor is recommended.
