Summary: Fortimel Extra is a high-calorie and high-protein drinkable food without fibre. It is a dietary food for special medical purposes and is used for the dietary management of disease-related malnutrition. The product contains protein, water, glucose syrup, vegetable oils, sugar and other ingredients. It is gluten-free and UHT sterilised. The recommended dosage is 2 bottles per day. Fortimel Extra is suitable for patients with increased energy and protein requirements or protein deficiency, e.g. after operations or during convalescence. It must not be used if enteral nutrient intake is generally prohibited or if there is intolerance to any of the ingredients contained. The product is suitable from the age of 6 years and should only be used under medical supervision. It is a prescribable drinkable food that provides supplementary nutrition with its extra portion of protein. Fortimel Extra is manufactured by Nutricia GmbH.
