Directions for use of the article Pantoprazole Heumann 20 mg for heartburn Tablets. Pantoprazole Heumann 20 mg for heartburn are enteric-coated tablets containing the active substance pantoprazole. These tablets are used for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms, such as heartburn and acid regurgitation, in adults. Reflux is the backflow of stomach acid into the oesophagus, which can cause painful inflammation. Symptoms may include a burning sensation in the chest area and a sour taste in the mouth. The tablets should be taken exactly as directed by the doctor or pharmacist and should not be taken for longer than 4 weeks. If there is no improvement in symptoms after 2 weeks, a doctor should be consulted. Pantoprazole Heumann 20 mg for heartburn should not be taken if you are allergic to pantoprazole or other ingredients of the medicine or HIV-are taking protease inhibitors.
