Bgstar Control Solution Normal is a control solution specially designed for use with the BGStar or iBGStar blood glucose monitoring system. It is used to check that the meter and test strips are working properly. The control solution contains a known amount of glucose that reacts with a BGStar test strip in the meter. The test procedure is identical to the measurement procedure for blood, except that the control solution is used instead of a blood sample. The control solution test results do not reflect your actual blood glucose levels, but are only used to check the accuracy of the meter and test strips. The control solution tests should be performed at a temperature between 10 °C and 40 °C. Care should also be taken to ensure that the control solution has not expired and that the first drop is discarded to obtain accurate results.
