The Contour Next Blood Glucose Monitoring System is specifically designed to measure blood sugar levels in people with diabetes, whether they are being treated with insulin or not.It helps both patients and healthcare professionals monitor the effectiveness of blood sugar control.The system can be used for self-monitoring of blood glucose in venous blood as well as in fresh capillary whole blood collected from the fingertip or palm of the hand.It is intended for in vitro diagnostic use only and should not be used for the diagnosis or screening of diabetes mellitus or in newborns.Measurements at alternative measuring points such as the palm of the hand should only be carried out when the blood sugar level is stable and does not change quickly.

The Contour Next sensors are specifically designed for use with the Contour Next blood glucose meter.They are used for the quantitative measurement of glucose in venous blood and fresh capillary whole blood taken from the fingertip or the heel of the hand.The meter measures the glucose content in whole blood in the range of 10 mg/dL to 600 mg/dL.
