Neuroplant 300 mg Novo is a herbal medicinal product used for mild temporary depressive disorders (mild depressive episodes). It contains dry extract of St John's wort as the active substance. The recommended dose for adults is 1 film-coated tablet 3 times a day, which corresponds to a daily dose of 900 mg of St John's wort extract. The film-coated tablets should be taken unchewed with sufficient liquid. The duration of treatment is usually 4-6 weeks. If the symptoms persist for longer than 4 weeks or worsen despite prescribed dosage, a doctor should be consulted. Neuroplant 300 mg Novo must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to the ingredients, are pregnant or are taking certain medicines. Possible side effects include increased sensitivity of the skin to light, skin reactions, gastrointestinal complaints, tiredness and restlessness. The medicine should be stored away from heat. It contains lactose and may interfere with the effect of the contraceptive pill. Interactions with other medicines, especially antidepressants, should be avoided.
