Antimonite 0.4% cream
Antimonite 0.4% is an anthroposophical medicine that is used for the internal development of the organism in the event of balance disorders in the build-up and breakdown processes.Areas of application include, for example, lower leg ulcers, eczema and indigestion with flatulence.No prescription is required for this product.
Active ingredient and composition
The active ingredient in Antimonit 0.4% cream is Antimonit Trit.D1.The cream base consists of purified water, thick paraffin and Protegin WX, which contains yellow petroleum jelly, ceresin, hydrogenated castor oil, glycerol monoisostearate and polyglycerol-3-oleate.Yellow petroleum jelly is also included in the cream base.
Application
Antimonite 0.4% should always be used exactly as directed by the doctor.The usual dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over is up to 3 cm of cream, rubbed into the skin 1 to 2 times a day.Children weighing more than 22 kg should use up to 3 cm of cream once a day.The cream should not be used over large areas.
Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks.In the case of chronic illnesses, consultation with the doctor is necessary.The maximum duration of use should not exceed 8 weeks.
Precautions
Antimonite 0.4% must not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding or in children weighing less than 22 kg.If symptoms persist or are unclear, a doctor should be consulted.Long-term use can cause allergies, especially in patients with poorly healing wounds or ulcers.If symptoms such as itching, redness or swelling occur, use should be stopped and a doctor consulted.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Antimonite 0.4% can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.If you are hypersensitive to the components of the cream, especially paraffin, allergic reactions may occur.If the skin becomes red or itchy, use should be stopped and a doctor consulted.
Storage
The medicine must not be used after the expiry date stated on the tube and carton.After opening the pack, the cream has a shelf life of 6 months.The cream should not be stored above 30°C.
