The active ingredients of Biolectra® Magnesium 243 mg forte effervescent tablets are magnesium.One effervescent tablet contains 243 mg of magnesium as light magnesium oxide.The other ingredients are citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, potassium bicarbonate, malic acid, mannitol, rice starch, orange flavor, colors such as beta-carotene and betanin, sodium cyclamate, sodium chloride, saccharin sodium and simeticone.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, this product should not be used.

Dosage

The recommended dose is 1 effervescent tablet 1-2 times daily.The dosage depends on the degree of magnesium deficiency.The average daily dose is 1-2 effervescent tablets (243-486 mg magnesium ions = 10-20 mmol).In severe cases of magnesium deficiency, higher doses may require medical supervision and monitoring of electrolyte balance.Dissolve an effervescent tablet in a glass of water and drink the entire glass.

Patient information

This medicine contains 170 mg sodium and 3.48 mmol (or 136 mg) potassium per effervescent tablet.If you have impaired kidney function or a controlled potassium diet, you should take this into account.The medicine also contains 0.02 mg sorbitol per effervescent tablet.Leave an interval of 2 to 3 hours between taking these effervescent tablets and other medicines to prevent possible interactions.

Application

Adults and adolescents: 1 effervescent tablet 1 to 2 times daily.Children from 6 years: 1 effervescent tablet once daily.Dissolve the effervescent tablets in a glass of water and drink.The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the underlying magnesium deficiency.Long-term, high-dose magnesium intake must be monitored by a doctor.
