Magnesium Sandoz 243 mg Effervescent Tablets are a magnesium supplement for the treatment of magnesium deficiency conditions and muscle dysfunction caused by a magnesium deficiency. The tablets support the body in restoring a physiological magnesium balance. The recommended dosage is 1-2 effervescent tablets per day for adults and adolescents. Children aged 6-12 years should take 1 effervescent tablet per day. The tablets should be dissolved in water and drunk completely. The duration of use is not limited and long-term high-dose magnesium intake should be monitored by a doctor. Side effects may occur such as soft stools, gastrointestinal discomfort, diarrhoea and fatigue. The medicine contains sorbitol, sodium and aspartame. It should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, impaired kidney function, myasthenia gravis, tendency to form kidney stones, AV-block, dehydration and in children under 6 years of age. A doctor or pharmacist should be consulted before use.
