Magnesium-Sandoz® 243 mg effervescent tablets is a mineral preparation that is used to treat magnesium deficiency states when these cannot be resolved through diet alone.It is used in particular in cases of proven magnesium deficiency, which leads to disorders of muscle activity such as neuromuscular disorders or leg cramps.No prescription is required for this product.

Magnesium-Sandoz® 243 mg effervescent tablets supports the body in restoring a physiological magnesium balance.Magnesium deficiency is a common mineral metabolism disorder that can lead to symptoms such as muscle tremors, muscle cramps and increased reflex reactions.Taking the effervescent tablets helps to eliminate these signs of deficiency.

Magnesium-Sandoz® 243 mg effervescent tablets contains light magnesium oxide as the active ingredient.One effervescent tablet contains 201.5 mg of light magnesium oxide, which corresponds to 121.5 mg of elemental magnesium.Other ingredients include citric acid, potassium bicarbonate, maltodextrin, mannitol, sodium carbonate, sodium chloride, sodium citrate, sodium cyclamate, sodium bicarbonate, rice starch, saccharin sodium and lemon flavor.The lemon flavor consists of sorbitol, mannitol, D-glucono-1,5-lactone, maltodextrin, arabic gum and lemon flavor.

Contraindications

Magnesium-Sandoz® 243 mg effervescent tablets must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to magnesium oxide or any of the other ingredients.The preparation should also not be used in cases of kidney dysfunction, cardiac conduction disorders, myasthenia gravis, severe water loss or certain urinary stone diseases.

Dosage

The dosage of Magnesium-Sandoz® 243 mg effervescent tablets depends on the degree of magnesium deficiency.The usual daily dose is 1-2 effervescent tablets, which corresponds to 243-486 mg magnesium ions.Children aged 6 and over should take one effervescent tablet once a day, while teenagers and adults can take one effervescent tablet 1-2 times a day.In severe cases of magnesium deficiency, higher doses may be necessary under medical supervision.The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the magnesium deficiency, and long-term, high-dose magnesium intake should be monitored by a doctor.

Intake

Dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of water and drink the entire contents.The effervescent tablet can be divided into equal halves.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when taking the drug if there is an excess of magnesium or excess potassium.There are no known effects on the ability to drive or use machines.

Notes
