Area of application

Head lice are gray to brown parasites that are about the size of a sesame seed and are sexually mature.Larvae are small, recently hatched lice that are not yet sexually mature.Nits are the eggs of lice, which are white to brownish, the size of a grain of sand and oval in shape.Unlike dandruff, they stick firmly to the hair.If the nits are more than 1 cm away from the scalp, larvae usually no longer hatch.

If a head lice infestation has been identified, an effective head lice treatment should definitely be used for treatment.No prescription is required for this product.

Nyda lice and nit comb

The Nyda lice and nit comb is suitable for removing and identifying head lice, their larvae and nits.Examining the scalp hair with the specially developed comb is faster and more effective than a purely visual inspection.The lice comb also makes it easier to remove dead lice and nits after treatment with Nyda.The Nyda lice and nit comb has a short distance between the teeth and rounded ends so that the treatment is thorough and gentle on the scalp.

Function and properties of the lice comb

The lice comb is the most suitable means of diagnosing a head lice infestation.With its help, both live and dead lice can be removed from hair at any stage.Depending on the condition of the comb and hair, the lice eggs (and nits) are also captured by the lice comb.A lice comb must be designed in such a way that it can reliably remove the very small parasites from individual hairs.Adult lice are about 2 to 3.5 millimeters long, and the lice eggs are not much larger than normal hair scales (about 0.3 by 0.8 millimeters).Using a suitable lice comb is a good aid for the successful treatment of a head lice infestation.Whether the comb is made of plastic or metal hardly matters.

Application

Brush the hair carefully with a regular brush.It is helpful to repeatedly divide the hair into strands and part it.Since lice lay their eggs very close to the scalp, it makes sense to start right at the base.From there you should comb each strand down to the ends.Hold the Nyda lice and nit comb in your hand so that the angled handle points away from your head.Then check the comb for lice and nits and clean it carefully with a paper towel.In order to capture as many lice and nits as possible with the lice comb, the entire head hair is systematically processed.Moist hair is easier to comb with the fine-toothed comb than dry hair.

Tip

Using a hair conditioner on dry hair makes it easier to comb.

Use after treatment

After the exposure time of an effective head lice remedy, e.g.B. from the Nyda range, the hair can be carefully combed out with the Nyda lice and nit comb to free it from suffocated parasites.
