Area of application

The product is used to treat symptoms caused by age-related circulatory disorders, as well as brain-organic performance disorders and mixed forms of both.The typical symptoms of brain-organic performance disorders include memory problems, difficulty concentrating, depressive moods, dizziness, ringing in the ears and headaches.Unclear symptoms or new complaints should definitely be clarified by a doctor.

Mode of action

The dry ginkgo leaf extract contained in the product has an antioxidant effect and inhibits the effects of free oxygen radicals.It improves blood circulation through its positive influence on the flow properties of the blood and has a cardioprotective effect.It also promotes memory performance.

1 ml/20 drops of the product contains the following active ingredients and excipients:

As an effective ingredient:

40 mg ginkgo leaf dry extract, (35-67:1), extractant: acetone-water, corresponding to 9.8 mg ginkgo flavone glycosides and 0.2 µg ginkgolic acids.

Excipients:

Saccharin Sodium-2-Water, Propylene Glycol, Glycerol 85% and Purified Water.

Contraindications

The product must not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to Ginkgo biloba or any of the other ingredients.It should not be used in children and adolescents under 12 years of age due to insufficient testing.If you have a pathologically increased tendency to bleeding or are being treated at the same time with anticoagulant medications, the product should only be used after consulting a doctor.Caution is also advised when using it before operations.It cannot be ruled out that taking ginkgo preparations may promote the occurrence of further seizures in epileptics.

Dosage

1 ml of the product contains 40 mg of ginkgo leaf dry extract.Please refer to the package insert for the exact number of drops per ml.

For dementia syndrome: 40-80 mg ginkgo extract 3 times daily.

For arterial occlusive disease, dizziness or ringing in the ears: 40 mg ginkgo extract 3x daily or 80 mg ginkgo extract 2x daily.

The drops are taken undiluted or dissolved in a little water in the morning, (midday) and evening.It can be taken regardless of meals.Please note further instructions on taking the product in the package leaflet!

Patient information

Particular caution is required when taking the product.There are no sufficient studies available for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.It should therefore not be used in this age group.

Pregnancy

Because of the indications of an increased tendency to bleed when taking the product, it must not be used during pregnancy.Its use during breastfeeding has not been sufficiently investigated and should therefore not be taken.

Notes

No prescription is required for this product.Response to the product cannot be predicted.Before treatment is started, it should be clarified whether the symptoms are not due to an underlying disease that requires specific treatment.Frequently occurring feelings of dizziness and ringing in the ears generally require clarification by a doctor.If hearing impairment or hearing loss suddenly occurs, you should consult a doctor immediately.If memory problems, difficulty concentrating or headaches persist for longer than 3 months despite using the product as directed, you should consult a doctor.If allergic skin reactions occur or if you have persistent headaches or gastrointestinal complaints, you should consult a doctor so that he or she can clarify whether there is a connection with the use of ginkgo extract.

Other

The product is suitable for the symptomatic treatment of organically brain-related loss of mental performance as part of an overall therapeutic concept in the event of progressive decline or loss of acquired mental abilities (dementia syndrome) with the main complaints being memory disorders, concentration disorders, depression, dizziness, ringing in the ears and headaches.It can also be used to extend pain-free walking distance in cases of arterial occlusive disease in the limbs as part of physical therapeutic measures, especially walking training.The product can also be used to help with dizziness and ringing in the ears as a result of circulatory problems or age-related regression processes.
