Area of application

These eye drops contain the active ingredient ketotifen fumarate, which acts as an anti-allergic agent.They are used to treat allergic conjunctivitis caused by allergens such as pollen.Typical symptoms include itchy, watery, red or swollen eyes and eyelids.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The eye drops contain 0.138 mg ketotifen fumarate and 0.1 mg ketotifen as active ingredients.Excipients include glycerol, sodium hydroxide solution 4% and water for injections.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be used if you are allergic to ketotifen fumarate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Dosage

Always use this medicine exactly as described or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The recommended dose for adults, the elderly and children aged three and over is one drop in the affected eye or eyes twice daily, morning and evening.The contents of a single-dose container are sufficient to administer one drop into both eyes.

If you have used a larger amount than intended, there is no danger.If you accidentally ingest or overdose, ask your doctor for advice.

If you forget to use it, do so as soon as possible and then go back to your regular dosing schedule.Do not use a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Application of eye drops

Wash your hands before use.Open the single-dose container and be careful not to touch the tip.Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid with your finger and let a drop fall from the container into the eye.Close your eye and press your fingertip against the inner corner of your eye for 1 to 2 minutes to prevent the drop from draining down the tear duct.If necessary, repeat the steps for the other eye and discard the single-dose container after use.

Patient information

The eye drops may cause blurred vision, drowsiness or dizziness.If you experience blurred vision or drowsiness after use, you should wait until these symptoms disappear before driving or using machines.

If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.The medicine is allowed to be used during breastfeeding.
