Instructions for use for SYSTRAL Hydrocort 0.5% cream, 5 g

Directions for use of the medicinal product Systral Hydrocort 0.5% cream: Systral Hydrocort 0.5% Cream contains the active ingredient hydrocortisone and is used for the external treatment of inflammatory and allergic skin conditions with minor symptoms. The cream can be used in adults and children from 6 years of age. It is recommended to read the entire leaflet carefully before use. It is important to use the cream exactly as directed by the doctor or pharmacist. The cream should be applied thinly to the affected areas of the skin and rubbed in gently. After the symptoms have improved, the application can be reduced to once a day or at intervals of 2-3 days. The duration of treatment should not exceed 2 weeks unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor. Systral Hydrocort 0.5% cream must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to hydrocortisone or other ingredients. It is also not suitable for use in certain skin infections, during the first trimester of pregnancy and when applied to or in the eye. Possible side effects include skin irritation such as burning, itching and tightness. With prolonged use, skin changes such as thinning of the skin, widening of small skin vessels, skin colour changes and acne may occur. If side effects occur, a doctor should be consulted. The medicinal product should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be stored above 30°C. The cream should not be used after the expiry date.
