Instructions for use of the article PRO Ophta Perforated Compress Sterile Single The Pro-ophta Perforated Eye Compress is used to protect the eye from mechanical irritation after intraocular surgery. It is used under a perforated eye shield, thus preserving the natural function of the eyelid and maintaining good ventilation of the eye. The eyehole dressing is particularly suitable for care after cataract surgery, eyelid surgery or injuries to the external eye. It is velvety soft, low linting, absorbs fluid and cushions the eye area well. In combination with a transparent eye hole disc, the patient can make early first attempts at vision. The compress provides good padding for eyehole discs, is low in lint, allows plenty of air to reach the eye and is highly absorbent. The compress is made of soft non-woven fabric (67 % viscose, 33 % polyester) and is made of 16 layers joined by stitching and punched to compress size, with an open centre.
