Directions for use of Cutimed Sorbact Swab Walnut Size: Cutimed Sorbact Swab Walnut Large is a strong and advanced wound dressing that fights infections in a safe and efficient way. The dressing binds and inactivates germs in a purely physical way, without the use of chemical substances. The Cutimed Sorbact swab is coated with DACC (dialkylcarbamoyl chloride), which gives it hydrophobic (water-repellent) properties. Pathogenic bacteria and fungi, which are hydrophobic by nature, bind irreversibly to the dressing. This reduces the number of germs in the wound at each dressing change and creates optimal conditions for the natural wound healing process. Cutimed Sorbact offers special advantages such as the absence of resistance formation, healing delays, cytotoxic side effects, contraindications and known allergy risks. The Cutimed Sorbact swab is suitable for various wounds such as chronic wounds, postoperative wounds, traumatic wounds, wounds after excision of fistulas and abscesses, and fungal skin infections. The duration of application is a maximum of 3 days, depending on the indication. Cutimed Sorbact consists of acetate or cotton fabric fibres coated with dialkylcarbamoyl chloride suitable for antimicrobial wound therapy. The dressing is latex-free.
