Directions for use of Nystatin acis Film-Coated Tablets: Nystatin acis film-coated tablets contain the active substance nystatin and are used to treat fungal infections caused by yeasts. They are used, among other things, for fungal infections of the gastrointestinal tract, especially in patients with a reduced immune system due to illness or treatment with immunosuppressive drugs such as cortisone. The film-coated tablets are taken orally. The usual dose is three tablets daily after meals. If necessary, the dosage can be increased. The tablets should be taken unchewed with some liquid. The duration of treatment is usually 2 weeks or as long as treatment with medicines that promote the growth of yeast fungi continues. As with any medicine, side effects may occur with the use of Nystatin acis Film-Coated Tablets. Possible side effects include gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea as well as skin reactions such as rash or hives. If any symptoms occur, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. Nystatin acis Film-Coated Tablets must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the active substance or other components of the medicine.
