PARACETAMOL AL 1000 is a proven painkiller and fever-reducing medicine.It is used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever.The product is suitable for teenagers aged 12 and over and adults.

Mode of action

The active ingredient paracetamol has a pain-relieving effect and reduces fever.It also has low anti-inflammatory properties.Paracetamol blocks the formation of prostaglandins, which are involved in the development of pain, fever and inflammation.

Each suppository contains 1000 mg of paracetamol as the active ingredient.Other ingredients include hard fat and 25 mg of phospholipids from soybeans.

Area of application

PARACETAMOL AL 1000 Suppositories is used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain, such as headaches, toothaches and period pains, as well as fever.

Dosage

The medicine should always be used exactly as directed.If you are unsure, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist.The dosage depends on body weight and age.As a rule, the single dose is 10 to 15 mg of paracetamol per kilogram of body weight, with the maximum daily dose not exceeding 60 mg per kilogram of body weight.

For adolescents aged 12 and over and adults with a body weight of 43 kg or more, the single dose is 1 to 2 suppositories (corresponding to 500 to 1000 mg of paracetamol).The maximum daily dose should not exceed 8 suppositories (equivalent to 4000 mg paracetamol).The dosing interval should not be less than 6 hours.

The medicine should not be used for longer than 3 days without medical advice.If symptoms or high fever persist, you should see a doctor.

Intake

If possible, the suppository should be inserted deep into the anus after a bowel movement.To improve lubrication, the suppository can be warmed in your hand or briefly dipped in warm water.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when using the drug if you are a chronic alcoholic or suffer from impaired liver or kidney function.It should be ensured that other medicines used at the same time do not contain paracetamol to avoid the risk of overdose.

Long-term, high-dose and improper use of painkillers can cause headaches that cannot be treated with increased doses.Habitual use of painkillers can cause permanent kidney damage.When stopping abruptly after long-term use, withdrawal symptoms such as headache, tiredness and nervousness may occur.

The medicine has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.However, caution should always be exercised after use.

Pregnancy

You should consult your doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.The medicine should only be used after careful consideration of the benefit-risk ratio.Paracetamol passes into breast milk, but adverse effects on the infant are not yet known.
