To prevent this, four-legged friends living indoors should be treated regularly with special products. These can kill fleas and ticks on the animal, prevent a flea infestation in the home and reduce the risk of disease transmission through the parasites. Frontline spray helps to reliably control parasites on your pet. You can use it for dogs and cats. It is also well tolerated by young animals. What effect does fipronil have? The active ingredient fipronil in the pump spray fights fleas, ticks and hair lice. It works directly on first contact. Therefore, the pests do not have to be bitten in order to be killed. In addition, the effect is highly selective. Only the nerve centre of the fleas and ticks is attacked. This makes the product harmless for the animal. How quickly does the Frontline spray work? The pump spray works immediately after application. Ticks can die within 48 hours, adult fleas within 24 hours. It is important to apply the spray regularly at four-week intervals so that there is no gap in protection. How do I apply the spray? Put on standard household gloves. Unlock the spray bottle. Straighten the coat of your four-legged friend until you can see the skin. Spray the coat against the hairline until it is well moistened. Hold the bottle vertically. For each kg of body weight, apply six to twelve pump strokes to the pet, depending on the length of the coat. Rub through your pet's coat afterwards and massage in the solution so that enough of the active ingredient reaches the skin. To treat the head, put some spray solution on your gloved hand. Rub it on your four-legged friend's face. Avoid the nose and eyes. The active ingredient should be allowed to dry in the air so that it can develop its effect. What should I pay attention to? The spray is harmless to humans. However, you should not come into direct contact with it and therefore wear gloves. You should not pet your dog again until the solution has dried up completely. Treat your four-legged friend in a well-ventilated room or outdoors. It is only suitable for external use.
