Instructions for use of the article Saline solution 0,9% B.Braun Flushing solution Ecob.Click Product characteristics: - NaCl 0.9% B. Braun irrigation solution, sterile and endotoxin-free - Composition: 1000 ml solution contain: Sodium chloride 9.00 g in Aqua ad iniectabilia. Electrolytes: mmol/l Na+ 154, Cl- 154. Indications: - For irrigation and cleansing during surgical procedures. - For irrigation of wounds and burns - For moistening wound tamponades, cloths and dressings - For rinsing and cleaning bladder catheters - For rinsing and cleaning ostomy dressings - For rinsing and cleaning instruments and accessories - For intra- and postoperative irrigation (endoscopic procedures without HF-current; after TUR-procedures) - For filling respiratory humidifiers (containers of 100 ml or more are recommended) - For mechanical eye irrigation (30 ml containers are recommended) - For nasal irrigation (30 ml containers are recommended). Dosage: - The amount of liquid depends on the situation. Overdose: - In case of overdose, absorption of irrigation fluid may occur, which may lead to hypervolaemia in the sense of hypotonic hyperhydration (hyponatremia). - Symptoms of hyperhydration are headache, nausea, restlessness and disorientation. In severe cases, coma-like conditions may occur. Countermeasures in case of overdose: - Discontinuation of irrigation, correction of water and electrolyte balance according to the respective clinical situation. Warnings and precautions: - Do not use for infusion. - Use solution only if cap is intact and solution is clear. - Do not store opened containers and discard any remaining quantities. - Reuse of single-use devices poses a potential risk. - Contamination and/or reduced functionality of the device may result in injury or illness. - Keep out of reach of children. - Use caution if there is a risk of ingesting large amounts of solution. - Caution should be exercised during use in certain conditions, e.g. hypertonic dehydration, hypokalaemia, hypernatraemia, hyperchloraemia, conditions requiring restricted sodium intake. - NaCl 0.9% B. Braun must not be used for intrathecal irrigation procedures. Adverse side effects: - Not known. Expiry date: - The solution must not be used after the expiry date stated on the label.
