Product description

This liquid disinfectant concentrate is based on quaternary ammonium compounds and offers an effective solution for disinfection and cleaning.It is VAH/DGHM listed and is effective against, among other things, Papova viruses, which are responsible for plantar warts.A particular advantage is that the product is aldehyde-free.

The disinfectant concentrate is suitable for disinfecting and cleaning medical devices as well as various surfaces in practice and hospital areas.It is versatile and ensures thorough hygiene.

Application instructions

In order to prepare the working solution in the desired concentration, s&m dosing aids can be used.Dosing is possible via both central and decentralized dosing devices.Surfaces of medical devices as well as floors and other wipeable surfaces should be wiped with a damp cloth, ensuring complete wetting.After use, the equipment should be cleaned well with water.

Microbiological effectiveness

quartamon® med works against a variety of pathogens, including bacteria, fungi and viruses such as herpes simplex, Papova, hepatitis B viruses and HIV.It therefore offers comprehensive protection against various pathogens.

Application concentrations and exposure times

Different concentrations and exposure times are required for different effectiveness.For surface disinfection in hospitals and practices, the concentration is 2% (20 ml/l) with an exposure time of 15 minutes or 1% (10 ml/l) with an exposure time of 60 minutes.A concentration of 2% (20 ml/l) with an action time of 15 minutes, 1% (10 ml/l) with an action time of 30 minutes or 0.5% (5 ml/l) with an action time of 60 minutes is recommended against Papova viruses.

Composition

100 g of the product contains 9.5 g of benzyl-C12-18-alkyldimethylammonium, chlorides.In addition, it contains 5 - 15% non-ionic surfactants, fragrances, benzyl salicylate, limonene and hexyl cinnamal.

The concentrate is a clear, green liquid with a pleasantly fresh smell.The pH value is approximately 9.5 and the density at 20 °C is approximately 1.01 g/cm³.

The product is marked as harmful to health (Xn).It may be harmful if swallowed (R22) and causes serious eye damage (R41).It is harmful to aquatic organisms and may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment (R52/53).If you come into contact with your eyes, you should immediately rinse them thoroughly with water and consult a doctor (S26).It is recommended to wear safety glasses or face shield (S39).
