Disci/Rhus toxicodendron comp.is a liquid dilution for injection and is one of the anthroposophic medicines.It is used for diseases of the musculoskeletal system.The areas of application include disorders of the erection, movement and shaping processes of the entire spinal formation, in particular acute pain conditions due to degenerative changes in the spine as well as painful joint diseases.It can also be used for nerve pain (neuralgia).No prescription is required for this product.

Application

It is recommended that you learn the injection technique from experienced specialists or have the injection carried out by them.The usual dosage is 1 to 3 times a week to once a day, with the injection being given subcutaneously in several places in the pain area.The injection site should be cleaned before the injection.A fold of skin is formed and the needle is inserted at an angle.The syringe plunger is pulled back slightly to ensure that no blood vessel has been hit.If blood appears, repeat the injection at another site.The injection is then carried out slowly and the needle is pulled out.The puncture site should be briefly pressed with a swab.If only part of the contents of the ampoule is used, the remaining contents should be discarded.

Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks.If there is no improvement within 2-5 days, you should consult a doctor.The duration of treatment for chronic illnesses requires medical consultation.In acute conditions with redness, swelling or overheating of joints as well as persistent or frequently recurring symptoms, a doctor should also be consulted.

Notes

The medicine contains small amounts of milk protein (from lactose) and can therefore cause allergic reactions.It also contains 35.1 mg of sodium per ampoule, which is 1.8% of the recommended maximum daily sodium intake for an adult.The medicine should not be used after the expiry date stated on the package.

Other ingredients include sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate and water for injections.The medicine contains milk protein (from lactose).
