Information for use with the article BERBERIS/PROSTATA COMP Berberis/Prostata comp. is an anthroposophical medicinal product used for disorders of the prostate. It is prepared according to homeopathic methods and should be kept out of the reach of children. It is administered by melting under the tongue. The active ingredients contained in the globules are: Berberis vulgaris, Granite, Magnesium sulphuricum, Oxalis acetosella, Prostata bovis Gl, Urtica urens and Viscum album. Berberis/Prostata comp. is used in accordance with the anthroposophical understanding of man and nature for enlargement of the prostate gland (prostate adenomyomatosis). There are no known contraindications. When using it, it should be noted that the medicine only improves the symptoms of an enlarged prostate, but does not remedy the enlargement itself. In case of blood in the urine or acute urinary retention, a doctor should be consulted immediately. People with sugar intolerance should consult their doctor before taking the product. There are no known interactions with other medicines. The recommended dosage is 10-15 globuli velati 3 times daily, which are allowed to dissolve under the tongue. There are no known side effects. In case of side effects, a doctor, pharmacist or healthcare professional should be contacted. The BERBERIS/PROSTATA COMP medicinal product should not be used after the expiry date and should be stored at room temperature below 25°C.
