Directions for use of the article Chelidonium/Colocynthis Globuli: Chelidonium/Colocynthis Globules are used according to the anthroposophical understanding of man and nature. They serve to harmonise the sensory organisation in the metabolic system, especially in the liver-biliary area. As a result, various complaints such as biliary dyskinesia and colic as well as abdominal cramps (abdominal spasms) can be treated. The globules are taken under the tongue and contain the active ingredients Chelidonium majus e radice ferm 34b Dil. D2, Chelidonium majus ex herba ferm 34b Dil. D2 and Citrullus colocynthis e fructibus ferm 33a Dil. D3. The medicinal product contains sucrose (saccharose/sugar) and the duration of use is limited. Children from 2 to 6 years of age should take 5-7 globules 3 to 5 times daily, while adults and children from 6 years of age should take 5-10 globules 3 to 5 times daily. The remedy must not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to one of the active substances, existing liver diseases in the history and/or simultaneous use of liver-damaging substances as well as during pregnancy and breast-feeding and in children under 2 years of age. In the event of persistent, unclear or newly occurring complaints, a doctor should be consulted. Side effects such as an increase in liver function values and bilirubin are rare, but should be discontinued and a doctor consulted if they occur. Liver function values should be checked if the medicinal product is used for longer than 4 weeks. If side effects occur, a doctor, pharmacist or healthcare professional should be consulted.
