Combudoron® Gel

For insect bites, sunburn, and minor burns, Weleda’s Combudoron® Gel relieves itching, alleviates pain, inhibits inflammation, and promotes skin regeneration.The gel is available in 25 g or 70 g tubes and provides noticeable relief for these conditions.

Indications

We spend a lot of time outdoors in spring and summer, which can often lead to sunburn or insect bites.Cooling Combudoron® Gel, containing arnica and small nettle, helps with reddened skin, itching, and burning sensations.It is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas and acts to relieve pain and reduce inflammation.The gel is a practical companion—especially when traveling—for quick relief from mosquito bites, sunburn, and minor burns.

Mode of action

Combudoron® Gel alleviates pain and cools minor, superficial skin injuries.It supports the healing of reddened and inflamed skin.

Active ingredients / Ingredients

Combudoron® Gel contains the following active ingredients: ethanol, extract of *Arnica montana* (fresh plant to extraction solvent ratio 1:1.1; extraction solvent: ethanol 94% (w/w), purified water (6.3 : 4.7)) 0.05 g, and extract of *Urtica urens* (small nettle) 0.95 g.Other ingredients include glycerol 85%, ethanol 96%, xanthan gum, and purified water.

Contraindications

The product should not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to any of the listed ingredients.No prescription is required for this product.

Dosage

Apply a thin layer of the gel to the affected skin areas and allow it to dry.Application should be repeated until the pain subsides.

Administration

The gel is applied to the skin.Immediate and continuous treatment of the affected areas is important.If a dressing is required, it should only be applied once the gel has dried.The gel film can be easily rinsed off with lukewarm water.

Patient information

Avoid contact of the gel with the eyes and mucous membranes.For initial treatment of burns or scalds, cool the affected skin areas immediately under cold water until the pain subsides.Then apply the gel.Open burn wounds and extensive burns require medical treatment.Consult a doctor immediately if signs of infection appear.

Pregnancy

As with all medicines, the gel should only be used after consulting a doctor.

Notes

The gel contains 20% v/v alcohol.Do not use the product after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
