UrgoStart Border is a highly absorbent polyurethane foam compress with a microadhesive TLC-NOSF-wound healing matrix.It has a waterproof polyurethane backing with a silicone adhesive edge.The TLC-NOSF-wound healing matrix helps to shorten the healing time of lower leg and pressure ulcers.The bandage enables economical wound therapy and improves the quality of life of patients.It also ensures effective exudate management and protects against maceration.UrgoStart Border can also be worn when showering and enables atraumatic and painless dressing changes.

Areas of application

UrgoStart Border is suitable for exuding chronic wounds such as lower leg ulcers, pressure ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers, from granulation onwards.

Application

The compress of the wound dressing should cover the wound border by at least 1 cm.Only the silicone adhesive edges of UrgoStart Border can be cut with sterile scissors.The bandage can also be used in combination with compression therapy, such as UrgoK2.UrgoStart Border can be worn while showering.The wearing time is 2 to 4 days.A treatment period of at least 8 weeks is recommended.

Contraindications

UrgoStart Border should not be used on tumor-induced and fistulous wounds that show deep pus formation (abscess).The bandage must also not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to UrgoStart Border.
