Zinc ointment Dentinox is a medicine that is used to support wound healing.It is particularly suitable for weeping or itching wounds and cracks and can also be used as a cover ointment.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredient and composition

The active ingredient in zinc ointment Dentinox is zinc oxide, which is contained in a concentration of 100 mg per gram of ointment.In addition, the ointment contains wool wax alcohol ointment as an additional ingredient, which includes cetostearyl alcohol, wool wax alcohols and white petroleum jelly.

Areas of application

Zinc ointment Dentinox is used on the skin and supports wound healing.It can be used for weeping or itchy wounds, cracks and to treat diaper rash.The ointment has a covering, protective and secretion-binding effect in acute and subacute dermatoses.

Application and dosage

Apply zinc ointment Dentinox once to several times a day to the affected skin areas.If necessary, you can cover the treated areas with gauze.The duration of use depends on the healing process and is not limited.Always use the medicine exactly as directed and ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

Contraindications and precautions

Zinc ointment Dentinox must not be used if you are hypersensitive to zinc oxide or any of the other ingredients of the drug.When used on large areas of skin, no more than 20% of the body surface should be treated.Emulsifiers such as cetyl/stearyl alcohol and wool wax alcohols can cause skin irritation.

Side effects

Like all medicines, zinc ointment Dentinox can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include a slight burning sensation on the skin, skin intolerance reactions, eczema, skin redness and itching.If you are affected by these or other side effects, please inform your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

Keep zinc ointment Dentinox tightly closed and protected from heat.The medicine must not be stored above 25°C.Also, keep it out of the reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the tube and carton.
