Instructions for use for CALENDULA WOUND OINTMENT, 25 g

Weleda Calendula Wound Ointment is used according to the anthroposophical understanding of man and nature for the treatment of wounds and inflammations close to the surface, also in cases of delayed wound healing and tendency to suppuration. It contains the active substance Calendula officinalis 2a mother tincture. The ointment must not be used on open wounds and in cases of hypersensitivity to Calendula officinalis, other composite plants, sesame oil or components of the ointment base. Allergies may occur, especially with prolonged use on poorly healing wounds. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the application should be discussed with a doctor. The ointment is applied several times a day to the affected areas and should be discontinued after one week at the latest if there is no improvement. Side effects may include hypersensitivity reactions. The active ingredients of the ointment naturally help wounds to heal and new skin tissue to form. The ointment contains Calendula officinalis 2a mother tincture, sesame oil, wool wax, yellow wax, wool wax alcohols and purified water as other ingredients. The package leaflet should be read before use. Weleda Calendula Wound Ointment is not suitable for treating open wounds and must not be used after the expiry date stated on the pack.
