Directions for use of the article Spongia Comp.Globuli Spongia comp. globuli velati is an anthroposophical medicinal product for the treatment of thyroid enlargement. It contains the active ingredients Euspongia officinalis, Saccharumcandidum Trit. D5 and Testa ovorum Trit. D5. The application is carried out by dissolving the globules under the tongue. The globules contain sucrose (saccharose/sugar) and lactose. They should be kept out of the reach of children. The medicine supports the treatment of thyroid enlargement with normal blood levels of thyroid hormone (euthyroid goitre), but should not be used in latent or manifest hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid). A medical examination of the thyroid gland is required before use. Use in children under 12 years of age should be avoided. During pregnancy and breast-feeding, the medicinal product should only be used after consultation with the doctor. There are no known interactions with other medicines. The usual dosage is 5-10 globuli velati 3 times a day. The duration of treatment of chronic diseases requires consultation with the doctor. Side effects are not known. If side effects occur, a doctor, pharmacist or healthcare professional should be contacted. The medicinal product should not be used after the expiry date stated on the container.
