Areas of application

Spongia comp.is used in accordance with anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature for supportive treatment of thyroid enlargement with normal blood levels of thyroid hormone, also known as euthyroid goiter.

Active ingredients and ingredients

10 Grams of Globuli velati contain the following active ingredients: Euspongia officinalis, Saccharum candidum Trit.D5 and Testa ovorum Trit.D5.In addition, the product contains sucrose (sucrose/sugar) and lactose as excipients.

Individual ingredients

10 mg Calcium carbonicum e testa ovi (hom./anthr.), 0.002 mg iodine, Spongia comp.(hom./anthr.), 10 mg sea sponge, roasted, 10 mg Saccharum candidum (hom./anthr.) and sucrose as an excipient.

Contraindications

Spongia comp.should not be used in the case of latent or manifest hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid).

Precautions and warnings

There is no adequately documented experience with the use of this medicine in children.It should therefore not be used in children under 12 years of age.This medicine contains sucrose and lactose.Please take Spongia comp.Only contact your doctor if you know that you have an intolerance to certain sugars.10 globules velati of the drug contain approximately 20 µg of iodine.

Dosage and method of administration

Unless otherwise prescribed, 5 to 10 globules of velati should be allowed to melt under the tongue 3 times a day.

Duration of application

The duration of use should be agreed with your doctor.
