Instructions for use of the article Contour XT Set Blood glucose meter mg/dL: The Contour XT Set blood glucose meter enables people with diabetes to obtain more accurate measurement results and make precise decisions as part of their individual diabetes management. The meter is based on Bayer's latest technological development and is supported by the new Contour Next sensors. It requires 0.6 µl of venous or capillary whole blood and stores 480 measurement results. The set includes the blood glucose meter, 5 Contour Next sensors, a quick reference and operating guide, a MICROLET 2 lancing device from Bayer, 5 MICROLET lancets, a blood glucose diary, a warranty card and a patient ID-card as well as a case. The Contour XT Blood Glucose Monitoring System is intended for self-monitoring of blood glucose by people with diabetes and for measurement of blood glucose levels in fresh capillary whole blood, arterial and venous whole blood or neonatal blood samples collected from the fingertip by healthcare professionals. It is intended exclusively for in vitro diagnostics and supports individual diabetes management. However, the system is not intended for the diagnosis or screening of diabetes mellitus.
