Suprasorb P is a PU-foam dressing that absorbs wound exudate quickly and safely.The fine-pored PU-foam works directly at the base of the wound thanks to its good capillary effect.The material adapts to the wound base and the wound contact layer is gentle on easily vulnerable surfaces.The semi-permeable PU-carrier layer ensures an ideal moist wound environment.Even after liquid has been absorbed, the bandage remains dimensionally stable and is bacteria-proof and waterproof.Suprasorb P is easy to apply, soft and comfortable to wear.There are four styles: non-adhesive, self-adhesive, sacrum and heel.The self-adhesive version also has a skin-friendly adhesive edge.

Areas of application

Suprasorb P is suitable for moderately exuding wounds, superficial wounds, acute wounds such as split-thickness skin donor sites and postoperative wounds as well as chronic wounds such as decubitus ulcers, leg ulcers and diabetic ulcers.

Wound healing phases

The dressing supports wound healing in different phases: exudation phase, granulation phase and epithelialization phase.

Suprasorb P promotes wound healing through reliable exudate management and offers a high level of comfort thanks to its soft and supple structure.The perforated wound contact layer prevents sticking to the wound.The bacteria- and liquid-repellent PU-membrane maintains a moist wound healing environment and promotes natural healing.The anatomical shape makes it easier to treat hard-to-reach areas such as the heel, elbow or amputation stumps.

Dressing change interval

The dressing change interval is determined by the treating physician depending on the condition of the wound, degree of exudation and secondary dressing, but no later than after 5-7 days.The dressing should be changed as soon as the discoloration reaches the edge of the wound.

Notes

Suprasorb P can be used as a secondary dressing for wounds at risk of infection as part of regular antimicrobial therapy.When dry, the bandage can be easily cut to the individual wound size.The bandage should overlap the wound edges by approximately 2 cm.
