Description

Retterspitz Bronchial Cream is a herbal medicine that is used externally.It contains the active ingredients camphor, levomenthol and thymol.The essential oils in these ingredients have an anti-inflammatory effect and make it easier to breathe.As soon as you apply it, inhaling the essential oils relieves coughs and the urge to cough.After application, the active ingredients penetrate the skin and reach the tissue of the bronchi.

Retterspitz Bronchial Cream is used for colds of the respiratory tract, such as a runny nose, hoarseness and uncomplicated bronchial catarrh.No prescription is required for this product.

Application

Unless otherwise prescribed, apply a 5 cm long strand of cream to the skin of the chest, back and flanks three times a day and rub it in with your hands until the cream is completely absorbed into the skin.Wash your hands thoroughly after use.

Do not use Retterspitz Bronchial for longer than 30 days without medical advice.If you have symptoms that last longer than 3-5 days, shortness of breath, headaches, fever, or purulent/bloody sputum or nasal discharge, you must urgently consult a doctor.

Make sure that children cannot come into contact with the rubbed skin areas with their hands.For children under 5 years old, you should only rub the back.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the pack or packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.

Active ingredients and ingredients

100 g Retterspitz Bronchial Cream contains:

5 g racemic camphor, 2 g levomenthol, 1 g thymol.

Other components are:

Citric acid monohydrate, phenoxyethanol, ethanol, cetostearyl alcohol, isopropyl palmitate, [(Z)-Octadec-9-en-1-yl-]oleate, thick paraffin, octadecyl heptanoate-octadecyl octanoate (7:3), macrogol cetyl stearyl ether, sodium hydroxide, glycerol (mono/di/tri) (adipate/alkanoate/isostearate), eucalyptus oil,Spruce needle oil, mountain pine oil, purified water, white petroleum jelly.

Contraindications

Retterspitz Bronchial must not be used if you are allergic to camphor, levomenthol, thymol, cineole, limonene, citronellol, linalool or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

The medicine must not be used in infants and small children under 2 years of age as there is a risk of laryngeal spasm.

In the case of bronchial asthma and whooping cough, as well as pseudocroup and other respiratory diseases that are associated with pronounced hypersensitivity of the airways, inhalation can lead to spasm of the bronchial muscles.

Retterspitz Bronchial must not be used for skin and childhood diseases with exanthema or on damaged skin, e.g. burns.

Avoid use immediately after skin-irritating patches.

Dosage

Always use this medicine exactly as described or exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you.Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

When used as intended for external use or inhalation, symptoms of overdose are not to be expected.If accidentally ingested (swallowed), nausea and vomiting and possibly also diarrhea may occur.With external use and overdose, symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, feeling of heat, weakness, dry mouth, diarrhea and fever have occurred in rare cases.If used externally and over large areas as intended, symptoms of poisoning can occur, e.g. kidney damage and damage to the central nervous system (CNS).

In mild cases, stopping the medication is sufficient.If the amounts are too large (over 100 mg essential oils/kg body weight or over 50 mg camphor/kg body weight), primary detoxication may be necessary, especially in children.

Do not use a double dose if you have forgotten the previous application.

There is a risk of relapse if treatment is stopped too early.

Patient information

Do not use Retterspitz Bronchial on mucous membranes (including the nose) or in the eye area.Avoid use on the face.Wash your hands thoroughly after use.Retterspitz Bronchial should only be used externally.

The preparation has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.

There are no adequate animal studies regarding the effects on pregnancy and embryonic/fetal development, parturition and postnatal development.The potential risk to humans is unknown.Retterspitz Bronchial should not be used during pregnancy unless clearly necessary.Since the safety of using this product during pregnancy has not been proven, you should only use this medicine on the advice of your doctor.

It is not known whether the active ingredients of this preparation pass into breast milk and cause undesirable effects in the breastfed child.Therefore, you should not use the medicine while breastfeeding.However, if application is necessary on the advice of your doctor, it should not be applied to the chest area.
