GC Tooth Mousse is a water-based cream that contains bioavailable calcium and phosphate.The active ingredient Recaldent™ is obtained from milk protein, casein.It has been known for many years that milk and milk products protect teeth.Research has shown that this is due to a part of the protein casein, casein phosphopeptide (CPP).This carries calcium and phosphate ions in the form of amorphous calcium phosphates (ACP).

GC Tooth Mousse is the first professional product to contain this CPP-ACP-complex (Recaldent™).It serves as an ideal supplier of bioavailable calcium and phosphate ions. CPP-ACP was developed at the School of Dental Science at the University of Melbourne in Australia.Recaldent™ is a trademark under license.No prescription is required for this product.However, it should not be used in people with allergy to milk protein and/or hydroxybenzoates.

Natural defense against tooth decay

GC Tooth Mousse offers a natural defense against tooth decay and is suitable for patients who are at low to medium risk of tooth decay, have demineralized areas (white spots), suffer from hypersensitivity before and after teeth whitening, have undergone professional root scaling or cleaning or are children under the age of six.

Indications

GC Tooth Mousse can be used before and after in-office whitening, after ultrasonic or manual tooth cleaning and after cervical procedures, after professional tooth cleaning, after the application of topical fluorine, as surface protection for patients with erosions, xerostomia or Sjögren's syndrome, during orthodontic treatment, at high risk of caries and for patients with special needs.

Application in practice

The practical application of GC Tooth Mousse can be done with an individual spoon or without a spoon.When used with a spoon, it is cleaned after bleaching, filled with a generous portion of GC Tooth Mousse and applied to the upper and/or lower jaw.The spoon remains in the mouth for at least 3 minutes before being removed.The patient spreads the remaining cream with the tongue and keeps it in the mouth as long as possible without inhaling or swallowing it.Remains are carefully spit out and the patient should not eat or drink again for at least 30 minutes after treatment.

When used without a spoon, distribute a sufficient amount of GC Tooth Mousse onto the tooth surface using a swab, glove or interproximal brush.The cream remains in the mouth for at least 3 minutes before the patient spreads it with the tongue and keeps it in the mouth for as long as possible.Remains are carefully spit out and the patient should not eat or drink again for at least 30 minutes after treatment.

Home use

GC Tooth Mousse can be used daily after brushing your teeth or in the evening/night after brushing your teeth as recommended by your dental professional.A sufficient amount of the cream is applied to the upper and lower jaw and distributed with a clean finger, a cotton swab or a proximal brush.The cream remains on the tooth surfaces for at least 3 minutes before the patient spreads it with the tongue and keeps it in the mouth for as long as possible.Remains are carefully spit out and the patient should not eat or drink for at least 30 minutes after application.

Flavors and storage

GC Tooth Mousse is available in strawberry, melon, vanilla, mint and tutti-frutti flavors.For optimal storage, the cream should be stored in a cool and dry place, protected from direct sunlight, at temperatures between 8-25°C.The shelf life is two years from the date of production.

Pack sizes

GC Tooth Mousse is available in tubes containing 40g (35ml) each.There are assortment packs with 10 tubes of 40g each in different flavors as well as packs with one flavor each.There are also refill packs with a 40g tube in every flavor.
