Directions for use of the article Laluk 4500 Capsules: Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced, varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Laluk 4500 is a food supplement containing the enzyme lactase, which supports the digestion of lactose. About 15% of adults in Germany have difficulty digesting lactose because the enzyme lactase is not produced sufficiently in the intestine. As a result, the lactose cannot be broken down into usable sugar building blocks and instead, breakdown products are formed that can lead to flatulence and diarrhoea. Laluk 4500 provides the body with the necessary enzyme to break down the lactose and makes it possible to consume milk and dairy products without hesitation. One capsule contains 4500 FCC units of lactase and can split about 10-20 g of lactose. The recommended daily dose is 1-5 capsules, depending on the lactose content of the food and the body's own lactase production. The capsule can either be swallowed before eating food and drinks containing lactose or the contents can be added directly to the food or drink (below 50°C).
