Instructions for use for EPHEPECT Pastilles, 50 pc

Ephepect pastilles are traditionally used to support the loosening of mucus in the respiratory tract. The pastilles contain various active ingredients such as thyme herb, star anise oil, eucalyptus oil, bitter fennel oil, peppermint oil and ammonium chloride. They have a secretolytic and expectorant effect and also have an antiseptic effect. The pastilles are sucked slowly or allowed to melt in the mouth. The recommended dosage for adolescents from 12 years and adults is 1-2 pastilles several times a day at intervals of 1-2 hours, irrespective of the meal. The duration of use is in principle not limited, but the medicine should not be used after one week without medical advice. Possible side effects are rare and may include a hypersensitivity or allergic reaction of the skin and respiratory tract, stomach and intestinal complaints or swelling of the face, mouth and/or throat. Pregnant women and nursing mothers should not use the medicine unless prescribed by a doctor. There are no known interactions with other medicinal products. Before use, possible contraindications should be noted, such as hypersensitivity to the ingredients, bronchial asthma or certain gallbladder and liver diseases. In case of prolonged or regularly recurring complaints, a doctor should be consulted. The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be stored above 30°C.
