Nutramigen LGG® is a dietary food for special medical purposes intended for the treatment of allergies to cow's milk protein in infants and young children.It is a balanced diet specifically designed to meet the nutritional needs of children with this allergy.Signs of an allergic reaction can include skin rashes, colic or digestive problems.The protein in Nutramigen LGG® is particularly broken down, making it easier to digest.The carbohydrate component consists of glucose polymers and is lactose-free.

Ingredients

The main ingredients of Nutramigen LGG® include glucose syrup, vegetable oils such as palm olein oil, coconut oil, soybean oil and high-oleic sunflower oil.It also contains extensively hydrolyzed casein hydrolyzate from cow's milk, modified corn starch, various salts such as calcium phosphate and calcium citrate, as well as single-cell oils such as arachidonic acid and docosahexaenoic acid.Other ingredients are sodium citrate, L-cystine, sodium L-ascorbate, choline chloride, inositol, L-tyrosine, magnesium oxide, L-tryptophan, iron sulfate, taurine, Lactobacillus rhamnosus-GG-bacterial culture, L-carnitine, DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, zinc sulfate, L-ascorbic acid, nicotinamide, calcium D-pantothenate, copper sulfate,Retinyl palmitate, manganese sulfate, riboflavin, thiamine hydrochloride, cholecalciferol, pyridoxine hydrochloride, sodium iodide, folic acid, sodium molybdate, phytomenadione, chromium-III-chloride, D-biotin, sodium selenite and cyanocobalamin.

Use and dosage

The dosage of Nutramigen LGG® should be according to the instructions of a doctor.Standard recommendations vary depending on the child's age and weight.For example, for infants aged 0 to 2 weeks, 6 bottles per day are recommended, while for children aged 2 to 4 weeks, 5 to 6 bottles per day are recommended.The exact amount of powder and water per bottle also depends on age and should be measured carefully.

Instructions for use

Before preparation, hands should be washed thoroughly and the bottle, teat and other accessories should be boiled.The water should be brought to a rolling boil and cooled to room temperature before adding the powder.The bottle should be shaken vigorously to completely dissolve the powder.The prepared food should be fed immediately after preparation and not used for longer than 2 hours.It is important to clean the bottle and accessories thoroughly after feeding.

Storage conditions

The can should be stored in a cool and dry place.After opening, the can should be tightly closed and stored in a dry place.The contents of the opened can should be used within 1 month.The powder should not be frozen or exposed to high heat.

Nutramigen LGG® is a fully balanced diet for the exclusive and supplementary nutrition of infants up to the end of the 6th month of life.It is suitable for supplementary nutrition in children aged 7 months and over.It should only be used under medical supervision.Breast milk is the best nutrition for your child.Talk to your doctor if you want to use formula.Nutramigen LGG® should not be used in infants and young children with known immunodeficiency.Do not allow your child to suck on the bottle constantly, as this can cause serious tooth damage.If you have food intolerances/allergies, your doctor should test your individual tolerance to the food before administering it.Hypoallergenic foods taste different to regular milk foods and may require some getting used to.Children fed this food may experience an increase in loose stools with a greenish color.
