Nutramigen LGG Lipil powder is a dietary food for special medical purposes (balanced diet) used for the dietary management of allergies to cow's milk protein in infants and young children. It contains easily digestible glucose polymers as a carbohydrate component and the protein is particularly highly broken down (extensively hydrolysed). The composition also includes vegetable oils, minerals, vitamins, Lactobacillus-rhamnosus-GG-bacterial culture and other ingredients. Nutramigen LGG should be prescribed under medical supervision and is suitable for exclusive or supplementary feeding until the end of the 6th month of life. For children from 7 months of age, it can be used for complementary feeding. It is important to follow the preparation instructions carefully and to test individual tolerance with a doctor. Failure to follow the instructions can cause serious adverse health effects. Infant formula should not be microwaved and contact of the jaw or teeth with carbohydrate foods should be avoided to prevent tooth damage. Nutramigen LGG should not be used in infants and young children with known immune deficiency. A settling period and increased thin stools with a greenish colour may occur. Storage should be cool and dry, opened tins should be used within one month.
