Calcimed D3 600 mg/400 I.U. chewable tablets are a calcium-vitamin D3 preparation used for the supportive treatment of osteoporosis. The recommended dosage is 1 chewable tablet 2 times a day, preferably during or after meals. The chewable tablet should be chewed before swallowing. In case of an overdose, symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, increased feeling of thirst and constipation may occur. It is important not to forget to take the medicine and not to take a double dose if you forget to take it. The medicine should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. There are certain contraindications where the medicine should not be used, such as increased calcium levels in the blood, kidney calculi and kidney dysfunction. Side effects may include increased calcium excretion in the urine, constipation and nausea. The medicinal product contains sucrose, xylitol, sorbitol, aspartame and partially hydrogenated soya oil, so patients with relevant intolerances should exercise caution. It should also be noted that the medicinal product should be used for pregnant and lactating women according to their individual situation.
