Sensodyne Repair & Protect Whitening toothpaste is a specially formulated toothpaste for sensitive teeth. When enamel wears away or gums recede, the underlying dentin becomes exposed and can cause pain. This toothpaste helps reduce pain sensitivity by filling exposed openings in the dentin and forming a repairing protective layer over it. In addition, it can reduce surface discolouration and maintain natural tooth whiteness. The toothpaste also provides protection against tooth decay. It is applied twice to a maximum of three times a day and should be spat out to avoid swallowing. Sensitive teeth may indicate a deeper problem, so the dentist should be contacted if symptoms persist. The toothpaste contains glycerin, PEG-8, hydrated silica, pentasodium triphosphate, flavouring, sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide, carbomer, stannous fluoride, cocamidopropyl betaine, sodium saccharin, limonene and eugenol. It also contains stannous fluoride (1100 ppm fluoride).
